1) What is your role at GoKart?
My role here at GoKart is a Restaurant Development Manager. Which means I am restaurateurs’ best friend. My main job is to onboard new restaurants, cafes, and caterers and help their businesses prosper! We do this by finding the right supplier for them with the most savings, and taking care of every issue or query they have!
2) Why did you want to work in the food industry?
I have always been really passionate about food – I even started my own Instagram food blog (@london_food_hero) where I explore different cuisines and share my reviews. I love being able to build on that already existing knowledge and help restaurants in London serving diverse cuisines. Lastly, it is an industry that really needs our help – so many independent restaurants aren’t doing their best right now due to produce price inflation. I love that we can help them save money and prosper!
3) What drew you to working with GoKart?
I was drawn to the personal side of the role in GoKart. I really enjoy talking and building relationships with people. GoKart gave me (and us as a company) the opportunity to build a network of over 200 restaurants. Most importantly…I love helping people out! Also, working with people who share the same passion for food like me has been really fun.
4) What is the best thing about working in the food industry?
Helping preserve the independent restaurants in London has to be one of the best things! It has also been a dream to visit wonderful restaurants, getting to try their food and learning about their journey.
